Accomodation

As you can imagine there’s plenty of hotels, apartments and areas to choose from in Mallorca. We’d love to recommend you a million places but it all depends on what you want to make out of your trip to Mallorca.

Even though Mallorca is a fairly small island, we recommend you staying in Sóller or Port de Sóller for a night or two before exploring the other hidden treasures Mar's homeland has to offer.

And since we are getting married in Port de Sóller, we’ve been in touch with a number of hotels who have agreed to offer a discount to our wedding guests. These are:

Hotel Marina - www.hotelmarinasoller.com
Offering 5% discount if you say that you are going to our wedding. You might be able to negotiate more discount yourselves depending on how long you stay.

Hotel Los Geranios - www.hotel-losgeranios.com
Email Lluís Rullan on info@hotel-losgeranios.com saying you are attending our wedding.

Hotel Esplendido - www.esplendidohotel.com
They are offering our guests 10% discount on the 2012 rates.
Contact  Philippe Besnardeau on phil@esplendidohotel.com / +34-971631850. Again do say you are our guests.

Other hotels in Sóller / Port de Sóller
Hotel Es Port - www.hotelesport.com
A larger hotel offering a wide selection of rooms by the side of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and surrounded with beautiful gardens and sea views.

Jumeriah Port de Soller - http://www.jumeirah.com/en/Hotels-and-Resorts/New-Openings/Mallorca/Jumeirah-Port-Soller-Hotel--Spa
Possibly the fanciest hotel in the Port, with spa included and stunning views, reopening spring 2012.

L´Avenida Hotel - www.avenida-hotel.com
Boutique hotel set in a classical 100 year-old mansion house designed by one of Gaudi’s protégés, L’Avenida is in the centre of beautiful Sóller.

OTHER ACCOMODATION & LOCATIONS

We’ve also been talking to the people at http://ruralhotelsmajorca.co.uk who can offer you very good rates and discounts. They’re a small company that provide a personal service depending on everyone’s needs, from hotels, apartments, agroturismos (rural house hotels)  and villas.
They suggest you have a look at their site and if there’s anything you like do email Henrik: henrik@ruralhotelsmajorca.co.uk and give our names. They work better with groups to whom they can offer better prices.

If you want to explore Mallorca further and need suggestions with where to go before or after the wedding, do get in touch with us. Not everyone likes the same and we'd be delighted to help you.

CAR RENTAL

It is very easy to get by in Mallorca, and hiring a car is a good idea to take you up and down at your easy - unfortunately Mallorca doesn't take pride of its public transport.
If you are interesting in hiring a car, this company comes highly recommended www.amigoautos.com

The venue - Ca S'Hereu de Sa Figuera

Both the wedding ceremony & reception will be held at Ca s’Hereu de Sa Figuera in the magical Port de Sóller, a beautiful possessió - traditional Mallorcan farm estate, nestled among magnificent green hills, spoilt with vivacious sceneries and surrounded by beautiful orange and lemon trees.

The building dates back to the 17th century, and has recently been restored keeping its original structure and feel. This possessió, maintains its crops, with an excellent annual harvest of citrus fruits and olives.

Located at about 33Km from Palma, Ca S’Hereu has a bit of a challenging access and to avoid stressful drives, we have arranged for mini buses to take you, our lovely guests, up to the venue from Port de Sóller itself – more information on this to follow.

In case you were wondering…

No, it won’t be your typical English wedding, it won’t be the typical Spanish either. It will be just us putting together what we like the most for the people we love the most.

There won’t be frilly white dresses (well, we’ll see that on the day!) and bridesmaids in powder-pink meringues or sky-high wedding cakes for us to cut.

The story goes...
7 and a half years ago a rather tipsy English boy from Hull chatted up a Spanish lass from Mallorca in Puerto Banus, and they haven’t been apart since.

After all these years together we have finally decided to tie knot and celebrate love and the thrilling voyage on which life can take us.

Along the way we have shared with you all so many precious moments, and with this celebration we wish to gather all the people dear to us in one big happy get together!

Let’s make this a summer night to treasure for the years to come.

And remember – what happens in Mallorca stays in Mallorca…
